Privacy policy

1.  Introduction

1.1.  Locotel SA (“We” “us” “our”) are committed to protecting and respecting the privacy of all visitors to our sites, www.locosms.gr and www.locosms.com (each referred to as the “Website”). This privacy policy describes how we use and protect the information that you provide to us.

1.1.     For the purpose of the Data Protection Act  (the Act), the data controller is Locotel SA, company registered in Greece under GEMI number 8391701000, with our registered office at Elefteroton 2, Imittos, 17237, Greece and VAT number EL998250163.

1.2.  This policy only applies to our Website.  If  you leave our site via a link or otherwise, you will be subject to the policy of that website provider. We have no control over that policy or the terms of the website and you should check their policy before continuing to access the site.

1.3.  We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you agree with any changes. This policy is effective from 24/11/ 2014.

2.  Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

2.1.   Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Website. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Website, subscribing to our service or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our Website.

2.2.   If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

2.3.   We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

3.  IP addresses and cookies

This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual and we will not collect personal information in this way.

4.  Where we store your personal data

4.1.  All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers.

4.2.  In order to effectively process credit or debit card transactions it may be necessary for the bank or card processing agency to verify your personal details for authorisation outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Such information will not be transferred out of the EEA for any other purpose.

4.3.  No payment card details are held on our servers. All payment data entered for online purchases is passed securely and encrypted through to our payment provider, PayPal, who then handle the transaction authorisation process securely with the payment card issuing bank.

4.4.  Your payment order details are stored by us and are submitted directly to our third-party payment providers via an SSL encrypted connection.

4.5.  Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

4.6.  Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

(c)            We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Website.

7.  Your rights

7.1.  If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, delete or deactivate it by making the change on our member information page or by emailing our Customer Support at support@locotel.gr  or by contacting us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed below. We guarantee to respond to access requests within 30 days of the request.

7.2.  The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of €10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

8.  Changes to our privacy policy

8.1.  Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail. However, we advise that you check this page regularly to keep up to date with any necessary changes.
